101 things to do in London

So I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with some fabulous friends taking part in an epic challenge. Time Out's 101 things to do in London before the Olympics!

My friend Ben has decided to do ALL 101 and blogs about his adventures - check him out at Where that Ben Went and on Twitter - @BenWallace10

So we headed to Brick Lane for some vintage shopping - now this was a little bit of a cheat, since I've actually done it many a time - but still, any excuse!

Then we drank - Aftershock of all things.... discovered The Pride of Spitalfields too. New favourite old man's pub!

Check out Ben's wonderful site

Aftershock - obviously!?

Pride of Spitalfields - a pantry in a pub? heaven!

New boyfriend!?

#totesamaze

So those who haven't seen this yet seriously need to get involved - An amazing, sorry, #totesamaze parody on the CRAZY fashion world that I work in. It will have you in tears...

Even better though, they've gone and brought a second one!

Credit Crunch

So according to The Times today nail varnish sales are up due to the credit crunch. Having taken over lipstick sales - nail are trending!

I've noticed this in recent months due to celebs crazy and crazier nails. Plus celebs are now the face of nail brands left right and centre - take note of Nicki Minaj's range for OPI here

Or the Kardashian's wonderful glitter nail varnish that I sported for NYE.

It really is the easiest way to update your outfit with little fuss and more importantly super super cheaply.

Here's some of my fav shades

Clockwise from top
Radiance by OPI / Notting Hill Gate by Nails Inc / Splash of Grenade by Essie / Tangerine Taste by POP Nail Glam / Heathrow by Nails Inc Matte Nail Varnish

H&M SS12

LOVE the new H&M Spring Summer bits - soft chiffons, elegant patterns and neon!

A great selection to get me in the mood for Summer - can I go on holiday now please?

The London Fashion Week Uniform!

So with London Fashion Week coming up... gulp.. I need to get my outfits sorted sooner rather than later as I won't have a minute to think come the actual week.

So how does one actually manage to look chic or stylish when you have had little to no sleep and have to wear all black??

Well I'm going to probably cheat a little and throw in some animal print and stripe and I've found something so My So Called Life I could die...

These cute 90s style black dungarees from Topshop - £48

Team with Own the Runway platforms here

And finally this cutesome blouse which is from the trusty Topshop! Only £38.

Nail Art...

So I'm back!

It's been too long - mainly as I've been drowning in work and now London Fashion Week is steadily approaching.... #holdingmybreath!

So my new obsession, well long running one, is nail art. I've finally got to grips with it!

Check out these beauts!

I must say that I was very impressed with my talents for talons - see what I did there!? Check out this AMAZE website which taught me how to great these! - http://nailside.blogspot.com/

Pam Hogg AW11

One of the benefits of working in fashion?

The fact that I get to attend some of the best fashion shows at London Fashion Week!

However, I have to work them too – which makes it a little hard to enjoy the show….

Until Pam Hogg!

My heart literally skipped a beat when the music kicked in for her AW11 show at Mercer St Studios. Experimental rock with celtic tones..

The clothes - A mix of quintessential cat suits and wood effect dresses – and introducing tailoring (what? I hear you say!) as well as knitted jumpers.

Pam has gone commercial and I loved it!!

Stunning wearable pieces with a little taxidermy thrown in for good measure - maybe not so wearable after all!

See below some of my 'not so great' iphone pics - for a better representation of the amazing photography check out Alexander Jordan's blog - our amazing photographer for the show!
