Grimes - the one to watch

This girl is beyond HAWT!

If not a little try hard - but hey I still LOVE HER!

She is definitely channelling a Vice/Dalston/Dickhead East London style look - I'll forgive her since the song is incred and LOVE the vid. Check her out - the new Lana for sure

Pointy nails

So I'm a massive fan of pointy nails ala Lana Del Ray - one problem. How does one actually type, do normal things with said nails?

Well one doesn't! So I decided to have a play around to create the look whilst my nails still remained at a manageable shape and length.

I came up with these bad boys.

How did I get the edges so sharp? Trusty sellotape of course!

FLORALS

Reading through all the mags this week florals are HUGE this season once again.

To be honest I'm quite pleased - I love a floral as much as the next girl and I have my eyes set on some of the bits below. Unfortunately Erdem is not in my price range!

Experimental Cocktail Club

So I've been anticipating visiting this haunt for a while.

Hidden away in China Town this Speakeasy is definately worth a try.

BUT I'm not sure I'd return. Presented with a grubby door and doorman (which is the only thing that gives the bar away) we entered. The hostess made us tightly sit in a little corner of the room and I'll admit I was less than impressed. But hurrah, the upstairs opened and we were given a lovely place in the corner.

The cocktail list was the usual myriad of ingredients that I, quite frankly, didn't understand. I went for the 'Stockholm Syndrome' as the name intrigued me. Alas it was not good - a strong smell of cumin and lemon just did not work for me. So we settled for a bottle of fizz instead.

As the evening progressed the DJ started and the atmosphere lifted - a great bar to pop in around 9ish when you're stuck in central London. Just avoid the Stockholm!

NEGARIN AW 12

Another strong contender at London Fashion Week was Negarin, London's newest international designer who has just debuted on the catwalk schedule in New York, Paris and London.

Kicking off LFW's Friday's fun Negarin showcased a film collaboration with world renowned video director H1 on London’s digital schedule.

Recognition by the US and British Fashion Councils and H1 is a huge coupe for a hot new designer; the result is a whirlwind tour of fashion’s most influential capitals.

Whilst the film showcased the lead up to the label's NYFW debut, the collection was displayed around the space.

The film itself was an exciting project for Negarin as it was expertly created by H1 who is has previously worked on numerous well-received videos projects for Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Coldplay, Chris Brown and Mary J Blige.

The whole event was hosted by one of my favourites - top London blogger and stylist Marian Kihogo and she rocked a fab Negarin printed coat - as ever looking fab!

Inspired by world travel, Negarin's designs remind you of the exotic places you've explored and loved, and AW12 is no exception with confident prints inspired by the northern lights combined with Middle Eastern colours. The collection incorporates Negarin’s signature style with an intense colour palette for luxurious sophistication.
