Palmers Cocoa Butter

So I got sent this lovely set of Palmer Cocoa Butter Night Renewal Cream and Line Smoothing Eye Cream.

I
LOVE
IT

The texture of the night cream is light and airy, so refreshing unlike most night cream which tend to be thick and gloopy. As for the eye cream, it has worked wonders! My under eye bags are dimishing by the minute. 10 out of 10!

Night Renewal Cream £6.95 / 75g

Line Smoothing Eye Cream £6.95 / 15g

Crazy Angel Tanning Lotion

I hate it, when you go out and smell like biscuits. Isn't dreadfully annoying. Yet we as women decide this is acceptable just so we can be tanned. Well I say, NO MORE!

I got to try out Crazy Angel's tanning lotion - I asked for the darkest shade - and WOW - I got an even tone, and I didn't smell like I should be dunked in tea. RESULT.

It is available here!

Simple Kind To Skin Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream

Simple Kind To Skin Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream is my saviour right now!

Post holiday tan has faded rapidly due to the lack of sun in the UK and the permanent rainfall we are being subjected to!

So I need something which both moisturises, but also fake tans.

Only £4.99, available nationwide, this daily moisturiser builds a light, gradual tan without the biscuity smell. FAB!

The Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream contains Pro-Vitamin B5 to actively soften and restore; Vitamin E to moisturise; Glycerin to hydrate; Bisabolol to soothe and calm; and UVA and UVB protection. It contains no perfume, no unnecessary ingredients or harsh chemicals.

Basically its spot on! Thank the lord - I'll be back to tanned in no time :-D

New Nails New Nails...

So these beauts were created by the wonderful Katie, head make up artist at FashionistA.

Using contrasting tones to suit my indecisive mood. She finished off with  a black heart tip ala PPQ from their AW12 show.

How? A sharpie pen and a steady hand. Genius.

I of course got bored and so got Katie to put more hearts on each nail in contrasting colours. I love the subtlety!! ;-)

Apricot Scrub - good enough to eat

An old faithful in any girls toiletry cabinet. The facial scrub and all facial scrubs.

I have used this on and off for years and seem to forget how great it is - luckily I got sent a lovely sample to try out again.

Re-designed with more modern packaging the basic ingredients are still the same -

APRICOTS are known to contain one of the highest levels of carotenoids (think vitamin A) and super-effective antioxidants. All of this natural power might seem, well, too powerful, but they are actually quite gentle and nourishing and they help make fresher, more nourished skin beautifully possible.

CORN KERNEL MEAL is actually flour ground from dried corn. It’s a soft, but gently powerful all-natural exfoliant that promotes skin cell turnover and regeneration. Cornmeal makes softer-feeling, fresher skin possible.

WALNUT is known for its hard shell, but when it’s ground, it becomes an amazingly effective, all-natural exfoliant ingredient in our scrubs. Not only are walnuts plentiful on the planet, they also help newer, healthier skin come to the surface.

My skin feels tight, firm and refreshed. The old faithful has returned - and this time for good!

Macadamia Oil

So everyone is banging on about Moroccan Oil - but I think this is better.

They say -
'With the oil from the Macadamia nut found throughout the South Pacific and the uniquely rare Argan seeds of Morocco, nature has provided us with some of the most beneficial elements for healthful skin and hair. Macadamia Natural Oil™ products combine the oils of these highly nutritional nuts with special blends of nature’s most nourishing botanicals to formulate the ultimate in hair rejuvenation and maintenance. This is the essence of nature.'

I only believe in this normal splurge once I try products - I'm dreadfully cynical you see - but actually this stuff is incredible. I've been using it for less than a week and my dried out hair (and badly home dyed) has become silky again. It reminds me of when I was 11 and hated my bob but had the silkiest mop around. This is a key staple for sure!!

Benefit Mascara - My new best friend

So I have a secret to share - this INCRED mascara from Benefit. My mum got this for me at Christmas and I never want it to run out - luckily the lovely girls at Benefit came to the rescue!

Benefit claims 'they're real! lengthens, curls, volumises, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!'

They're not wrong, it seperates, doesn't clog up your lashes and makes them so so long - many of my friends have actually commented on the mascara and assumed I was wearing falsies - the tag is true! 'They're Real!'

Be warned though, this stuff is TOUGH to get off - I was recommended to use a facewash and lather up your eyelashes. Throughly wash your face then use an eye make up remover. Other suggestions were sitting on the sofa with your eyes covered with cotton pads soaked in eye make remover and drink wine! The final suggestion though was baby oil - I tried this last night and I can guarantee that it works - although the wine suggestion is defo on my list!

£18.50 from Boots, Benefit boutiques and you can buy online here - get it, you won't regret it I promise!

Lulu’s Time Bomb Day and Night Serums

Lately I have been feeling the effect of too much booze and general late nights and so hallelujah for this product. In their words 'Lulu’s Time Bomb are declaring all out war on the biggest enemies of youthful skin – dullness, dryness and loss of elasticity.'

My skin suffers from all the above - so I decided to try out Lulu’s Youth Explosion Day Serum and Lulu’s Derm Warfare Night Serum.  This extra fire-power contains ingredients clinically proven to slow down the ageing process, improve tone and elasticity and plump up skin with its very own internal scaffolding system! Confused? Don't be! Buy it, Use it! Result?  A more taut, healthy looking skin, better skin tone and an all over youthful glow . . . Oh and it looks pretty in your toiletry cupboard - I love the simplicity of the bottles.

Available from QVC, lulusplace.co.uk, Amazon ,Victoria Health and selected dept stores inc Fenwick.

Putting it Simply..

Simple products have always been a staple in my beauty regime, whether its eye make up remover or toner, I have always used a product from their range.

Now they have branched out with 'Radiance Brightening Facial Wash' which contains Mango extract as well Vitamin C - which my skin is in desperate need of!

So I tried out this new facial wash - the wash feels silky and goes on so smoothly its like moisturiser. There is nothing worse than that sticky face wash you put on and have to wipe forever to get off!

My skin definitely glowed after too - I'm one happy customer!
