Sunsense Daily Face

So the summer may be over, but this doesn't stop the sun shining (occasionally!) and we still need daily defence from sun damage.

Most recently I tried out SUNSENSE Daily Face for everyday use on the face and neck.  This light, soft cream has an oil free base and is tinted for a sheer matt finish. Not only is it super super light, but the fact that you get a bit of tint in it, makes it the perfect base.

It works as a great primer too! For stockists check out - http://www.sunsense.co.uk/findstockist.asp

Palmers Cocoa Butter

So I got sent this lovely set of Palmer Cocoa Butter Night Renewal Cream and Line Smoothing Eye Cream.

I
LOVE
IT

The texture of the night cream is light and airy, so refreshing unlike most night cream which tend to be thick and gloopy. As for the eye cream, it has worked wonders! My under eye bags are dimishing by the minute. 10 out of 10!

Night Renewal Cream £6.95 / 75g

Line Smoothing Eye Cream £6.95 / 15g

Tommy Guns

So I just had possibly the best haircut of my life. I'm one of those people, I avoid the hairdresser like the plague. That awkward chat about your weekend and what you do for a living, I hate it. Plus I hate having my long hair trimmed, I want it to long an lustrous ala Kim Kardashian (this will NEVER happen). However I decided enough was enough and I was lucky enough to get to try out the new Tommy Guns inside the Superdry store. The salon was like a mini oasis, cool and chilled out.

Kim cut my hair and we had a great time, a little gossip and just a really nice experience.

The Salon itself has amazing original features and you felt like you were transported back in time.

Originally a barber shop designed & built by Percy Westwood and Joseph Emberton, opened in 1929 within the Austin Reed store and lovingly restored by Tommy Guns, the salon’s original features have been blended with modern twists to create an iconic salon cemented in British heritage. Travertine marble floors, walls of cream vitrolite and original 1930s barber chairs in gleaming chrome sit alongside the original barber shop cabinetry, under deco neon lights that serpentine across the ceiling.

Here's the results - I'm going back!

I definitely noticed that they've become stronger and longer - I'm sold.

Crazy Angel Tanning Lotion

I hate it, when you go out and smell like biscuits. Isn't dreadfully annoying. Yet we as women decide this is acceptable just so we can be tanned. Well I say, NO MORE!

I got to try out Crazy Angel's tanning lotion - I asked for the darkest shade - and WOW - I got an even tone, and I didn't smell like I should be dunked in tea. RESULT.

It is available here!

Sugar StripEase

Oh gawwwd - the sun is out - my legs need to be out of my comforting black tights. HELP ME NOW.

Hurrah for Sugar Strip Ease - this pain free sugaring system is ridiculously pain free. I was in shock when it genuinely didn't hurt. Plus the sugary consistency is really easy to take off with soap and water

Definitely a 10 out of 10 from me!!

Simple Kind To Skin Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream

Simple Kind To Skin Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream is my saviour right now!

Post holiday tan has faded rapidly due to the lack of sun in the UK and the permanent rainfall we are being subjected to!

So I need something which both moisturises, but also fake tans.

Only £4.99, available nationwide, this daily moisturiser builds a light, gradual tan without the biscuity smell. FAB!

The Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream contains Pro-Vitamin B5 to actively soften and restore; Vitamin E to moisturise; Glycerin to hydrate; Bisabolol to soothe and calm; and UVA and UVB protection. It contains no perfume, no unnecessary ingredients or harsh chemicals.

Basically its spot on! Thank the lord - I'll be back to tanned in no time :-D

New Nails New Nails...

So these beauts were created by the wonderful Katie, head make up artist at FashionistA.

Using contrasting tones to suit my indecisive mood. She finished off with  a black heart tip ala PPQ from their AW12 show.

How? A sharpie pen and a steady hand. Genius.

I of course got bored and so got Katie to put more hearts on each nail in contrasting colours. I love the subtlety!! ;-)

Apricot Scrub - good enough to eat

An old faithful in any girls toiletry cabinet. The facial scrub and all facial scrubs.

I have used this on and off for years and seem to forget how great it is - luckily I got sent a lovely sample to try out again.

Re-designed with more modern packaging the basic ingredients are still the same -

APRICOTS are known to contain one of the highest levels of carotenoids (think vitamin A) and super-effective antioxidants. All of this natural power might seem, well, too powerful, but they are actually quite gentle and nourishing and they help make fresher, more nourished skin beautifully possible.

CORN KERNEL MEAL is actually flour ground from dried corn. It’s a soft, but gently powerful all-natural exfoliant that promotes skin cell turnover and regeneration. Cornmeal makes softer-feeling, fresher skin possible.

WALNUT is known for its hard shell, but when it’s ground, it becomes an amazingly effective, all-natural exfoliant ingredient in our scrubs. Not only are walnuts plentiful on the planet, they also help newer, healthier skin come to the surface.

My skin feels tight, firm and refreshed. The old faithful has returned - and this time for good!
